The Overwatch League will be returning in February, and I am very excited for its return. For a few reasons, I love watching the games, I want to see how some of the new rosters perform, and I will have more things to write about every week.

The most important of those reasons has to the offseason moves that have been made by the teams. Especially the Houston Outlaws. During the off-season, the Outlaws made some massive moves in terms of their roster. In this article, I am just going to refer to the people they picked up, rather than the ones that they dropped.

DPS: The DPS role was an issue for the Outlaws during the 2018 season. Their players were exceptional, yet they didn’t have a solid Tracer player. LiNkzr and Jake tried, yet they were never able to keep up with other Tracer specialists. They picked up Blase (Boston Uprising) and Hydration (Los Angeles Gladiators) Blase and Hydration are solid DPS players that will both compliment LiNkzr well. I wish I had more to say about these two, yet they both come from teams that I didn’t pay much attention to.

Tank: I have much more to say about this than the DPS role. They only picked up 1 tank at the time that I am writing this, but the one that they picked up was worth several tank players. They picked up Mek0 (New York Excelsior). Easily one of the best flex tanks in the league. His D.VA plays in the 2018 season and the 2019 season were instrumental in keeping his team in the top 3. His Road hog plays were just as nasty. He also had a strong performance in the 2019 playoffs on the Sigma. This, coupled with the fact that the Outlaws had an issue with the off-tank role in 2019. Enough of an issue that Danteh had to play the D.VA for them.

Support: The support play from the Outlaws was never an issue in either season. But, they still made some strong decisions regarding this role. They picked up Jecse (Seoul Dynasty) and Rapel (Vancouver Titans). Jecse was huge for the Dynasty and Rapel, when he played, did great for the Titans.

All in all the Outlaws have made some strong moves during the off season. Hopefully, they are as strong in-game as they are on paper.
