Concord was a MASSIVE flop, and one dev can’t handle it

Sony released their Hero based FPS (First-Person Shooter) titled “Concord”. It was developed by Firewalk Studios and is seemingly meant to be a competitor to Overwatch and Marvel Rivals. Unfortunately, the game suffers from a few major issues, the main one being a cast of uninteresting, cringe, and down right ugly characters for players to choose from.

When the game launched, it saw abysmal numbers on Steam. Now, this doesn’t include the number of players that are on the PlayStation 5, but it’s still a very bad sign.

The characters in the game are very unfortunate and the gameplay looks very poor as well. Most would be willing to overlook this and give it a chance if it were free to play, yet it isn’t. It costs $40 dollars which is just ridiculous, you couldn’t pay me $40 to play the game!

Then, to add to this shit sandwich of a launch, one of the developers decided to speak their mind on Twitter. Someone told them that they were sorry to see that their first game launch had gone so poorly and the developer responded in a very interesting way.

They said that the people hating on the game are “talentless freaks” which is pretty ironic looking at the state of Concord on release. This statement is super unprofessional and makes them look petty and sad. It has to be embarrassing enough to have a game flop as hard as this, but having your devs act like whiny little piss babies on social media is a whole new level.

If the Developer in question somehow sees this article, do better. I get it, it probably feels horrible to have the first game you worked on flop so massively. I sympathize with you there, for sure. But that doesn’t mean you should be attacking people for having an opinion, a valid on at that. Your game looks like shit, plays like shit, and is all around shit.

Concord was estimated to cost $100 Million and took 8 years to develop, yet it looks like a trash indie game. Maybe I’m just a “talentless freak” but I have pretty damn good taste in games. And this game just is NOT it.

Well, if you absolutely hate yourself and/or want to support this shit dev that can’t fathom why people wouldn’t want to play their awful game, Concord is available on Steam and PlayStation for $39.99
