Most of these exotic weapons will be put into the Destiny Content Vault, but they are also going to be useful for the next season. Not all are going away, but it would be better to get them now during the slow time rather than try to obtain them when there is new content to be played and new worlds to explore.

Anarchy

The Anarchy is a grenade launcher that goes in the heavy slot and does arc damage. It drops from the final encounter of the Scourge of the Past raid. When you shoot this gun it sends out an electric trap, these traps connect to each other and create a chain lightning effect, It is amazing for killing red bars and has amazing DPS potential.

For killing red bars, you can layout a bunch of traps, 6 can be active at a time, and it will shred them.

For boss DPS you can attach 2 shots to the boss, this is the most that will do damage, any more and you are wasting ammo. While Anarchy damage is ticking, you can swap to another DPS like a Sniper, Grenade Launcher, or Shotgun and pump damage into the boss from it as well. You get damage from 2 sources which is pretty huge.

Catalyst: No

This weapon will be going into the Destiny Content Vault on November 10th with the release of Beyond Light.

Whisper of the Worm

This weapon is a Solar Sniper Rifle that goes in the heavy slot. It is obtained from the “Secret” Mission on IO titled “The Whisper.” It can be a pain in the ass to do alone, but if you get a fireteam of 3 together it can be a breeze.

Whisper of the Worm is a fantastic option for DPS in many different encounters. The main draw to this weapon is the perk White Nail-When you hit 3 rapid precision hits with this weapon your magazine is refilled from your reserves. Meaning that you never have to reload so long as you hit your crits.

Catalyst: Yes. The Catalyst for this weapon increases the damage by 33%. It is obtainable by doing the The Whisper (Heroic) which is just a tougher version of the original mission you do to obtain the weapon. After you get it you have to complete the heroic version 3 more times and collect chests throughout the mission to get progress towards it. WORTH GETTING.

This weapon will be going into the Destiny Content Vault on November 10th with the release of Beyond Light.

Outbreak Perfected

The first and only weapon on this list that is not a DPS weapon. Obtained via an exotic quest that ends with the Zero Hour Heroic mission. Outbreak Perfected is a Kinetic Pulse Rifle that is a fantastic option for ad clear, if you like pulse rifles that is. This weapon creates SIVA nanite swarms on rapid hits and precision kills, these nanite swarms go out and target enemies kill them. If you are hitting your headshots, this weapon is great, especially since it has Outlaw: Precision kills greatly increase reload speed for a short period of time.

Catalyst: Yes. It is a similar process to the Whisper of the Worm, but not nearly as worth it. The catalyst makes the nanites do increased damage. Not super worth.

This weapon will be going into the Destiny Content Vault on November 10th with the release of Beyond Light.

Izanagi’s Burden

This weapon is a Kinetic Sniper Rifle that is obtained from a lengthy exotic quest that is related to Black Armory. The main perk of this weapon allows you to combine 4 shots into 1, it s called Honed Edge this 1 shot has the power of the 4. It is one of the best boss killing weapons. It does a ton of damage per shot and only utilizes green ammo.

Catalyst: YES. The catalyst makes the honed edge shot do 25% (Not exact) more damage. GET IT! It can be obtained by masterworking the Chalice of Opulence, then running the heroic menagerie.

This weapon will be going into the Destiny Content Vault on November 10th with the release of Beyond Light.

Xenophage

Last but not least, the Solar Machine Gun from Shadowkeep. Can be obtained via exotic quest on the moon. This weapon can’t hit crits, yet when paired with Divinity, Oppressive Darkness, or any other debuff it DESTROYS.

Catalyst: No

This weapon will NOT be going into the Destiny Content Vault on November 10th with the release of Beyond Light.

Honorable Mentions:

Legend of Acrius

Worldline Zero

Sleeper Simulant

These are weapons that are good, but not meta. I mention them because they have the potential to be great with a buff or two.
